is a change on the horizon. meteorologist frances dinglasan is in for leigh glaser. >> expect those changes mid-week. here's a look at the satellite radar image. this area of low pressure is going to bring us rain and showers tuesday and wednesday. high pressure over the pacific will mean another beautiful day tomorrow. so do enjoy that. but get ready for the rain. tuesday afternoon, we'll see some move into the bay area by 1:00, rain around san francisco. wednesday morning is when we'll see showers, even continuing into wednesday evening. now, this storm system is also going to bring snow to the sierra. so heads up there is a winter storm watch tuesday afternoon through thursday morning. try to avoid driving at that time. it could mean one last ski trip to the sierra this coming weekend. i'll have the complete accuweather shortly. >> on the peninsula police arrested a tree trimmer who is accused of peeping on a woman he tried to sell his services to. carlos alfredo bejanis was arrested by police after authorities say he verbally harassed and peeped on a woman on channing avenue. po

this one in emeryville. more rain this weekend? for the answer we turn to meteorologist leigh glaser with live doppler 7hd. hi there, everyone. hope enjoyed your saturday so far. i want to emphasize the heavy surf advisory for the coast has been lifted and the waves will start to decrease overnight. let's get to live doppler 7hd. you're exactly right. we'll continue to see wave and wave of moisture moving from south and back towards the west. off and on this afternoon, but just in the last, i would say 30 mounts or so most of that has moved out. so we'll go with a slight chance of a shower or two tonight. a better chance as we head into tomorrow afternoon. we'll look at the seven-day forecast coming up. >> thank you very much. the storm brought several inches of snow to tahoe. check out the snow. this is kirkwood mountain resorts snow state camera. the level increased dramatically yesterday. the resort received more than 3.5 feet of new snow since wednesday. now a live look at conditions from our heavenly tahoe tv camera. some ski resorts expect a foot of snow by the end of today. >>> sta

there yesterday and more wet weather is coming. let's check in with meteorologist leigh glaser with the live doppler 7hd. >> has been a nice break today. everybody drying out. as you notice the clouds are starting to increase a bit across the bay area. live doppler 7hd not picking up any moisture here locally, although the higher elevations between morgan hill and gilroy, picking up little there, and in the high country, picked up close to two feet of snow. the higher elevations overnight. you can see the snow showers continuing to wind down a bit, and that's exactly what is going to happen overnight tonight. let's show you a preview of what you can expect tomorrow. 5:00 a.m. commute time. look for thickening clouds and this is the next storm system, a stronger system, by lunchtime. it will start to roar in here and 3:00, very heavy rain expected across the bay area, and this is your 5:00 evening commute. it is going to be wet and we're also going to bring quite a bit of wind. we'll check out the risk assessment in a little bit. >>> heavy snow fell in the sierra nevada above 3500 feet.
